Encourages you to use your spontaneity and intuition as the fuel and fire of creation. Bans judgements, criticisms and evaluation. Creates a safe place to play. Encourages spontaneous self expression. Respects everybody's unique needs. On this course you will: Understand and learn about creativity and its power to heal. Develop your intuition and learn about "Trust". Experience the excitement of spontaneity. Become aware of your life's patterns and conditioning. Learn how to face and break through creative blocks. Explore and discover who you really are by painting from the source, "Point Zero". All this in a safe, nurturing, and non-judgemental environment. Knowledge, training, technique and ability are not the focus of this course, just the willingness to allow the images from the deep inner urges of the soul to come directly through your body, your heart and your gut feeling and put them on the paper. Of course that is precisely what life is! It is how we deal with these that determines whether we call them good or bad. I like to look at the painting process in the same way I look at life; these life experiences are the same as creative blocks. Creative blocks (life) are custom made for you, they are your friend and teacher, they come with love. If you have been in the classes you will know that unless we have them we do not grow, so therefore we can now begin to look forward to them. Unless we see them as opportunities and blessings then we succumb to the mind needing to solve the problem and all the stories that are attached to that, which usually stops our process of healing. This is not a process of control and wants, for me it is a process of surrender. If I paint something I do not like, I face it, and by doing that it forces my being to respond from a deeper place inside, forcing me to wake up because I am facing what I have, not wanting something to be different. And then the next issue of course is, do you trust the process? Is trust just a belief or is it something you know in your blood? Because every time you surrender and trust, the power, the control of the mind gets weaker. My two favourite words are SURRENDER and TRUST. As we continue to do this we gradually learn "who we are not", which enables our heart to open and come closer to the truth and the love. It is time to look towards making plans and dates for the new year, 2010. The 6 weekly courses will continue on Thursdays and Fridays, please see below for the dates for this year. For the past two years we have had Carol Levow out from America to facilitate two, 3-day workshops. Carol has been teaching with Michele Cassou (the originator of this painting process) for many years, and she brings a wealth of experience with her. Her workshops have been a great success and she has also fallen in love with Australia and Australians. Carol Levow will be here again in May & June 2010 to take two 3-day workshops.
