Encourages you to use your spontaneity and intuition as the fuel and fire of creation. Bans judgements, criticisms and evaluation. Creates a safe place to play. Encourages spontaneous self expression. Respects everybody's unique needs. On this course you will: Understand and learn about creativity and its power to heal. Develop your intuition and learn about "Trust". Experience the excitement of spontaneity. Become aware of your life's patterns and conditioning. Learn how to face and break through creative blocks. Explore and discover who you really are by painting from the source, "Point Zero". All this in a safe, nurturing, and non-judgemental environment. Knowledge, training, technique and ability are not the focus of this course, just the willingness to allow the images from the deep inner urges of the soul to come directly through your body, your heart and your gut feeling and put them on the paper. Next year promises to be a full and exciting one. We have Carol Levow coming to Melbourne to conduct two 3 day workshops in August 2008. Carol has been working with Michele Cassou for many years and teaches with her at every one of her workshops. Michele teaches in the mornings and Carol teaches in the afternoons. It will be a fantastic opportunity for you to experience Michele's work, from another perspective to mine. Please check Carol out on Michele's website. As a result of my wondering if there was anybody who was interested in teaching this work to children I have organised an intensive programme next year in preparation for taking the painting process into schools. I have called this group "The Study Group" to differentiate it from my regular "Painting from Within" classes. We will be studying Michele's painting and teaching techniques as well as concentrating on the understanding of the Point Zero method of painting. Also painting and working on our own personal process. I mentioned that the book "Point Zero" was going to be published here in Melbourne, well that fell over and it is now to be republished along with "Kid's Play" in the States. ("Kids Play: Igniting Children's Creativity" by Michele Cassou) But I do not know when it will be available again. You may be able to get "Point Zero" second-hand from Amazon and there are still some copies of Kid's Play left around Melbourne.
